Who we Are
Broad Place Publishing is an independent Christian publisher, passionate about bringing to market books that make Jesus happy, and distributing them to those who need them.
Jesus-Centred, Spirit-Inspired
Our Books are unashamedly Jesus-centred. However, this can mean lots of things (fiction or non-fiction, faith-based or allegorical) so we consider each manuscript individually and cover it in prayer during the selection process. We work with the author and the Holy Spirit, considering each manuscript as a faith adventure. Our editors will pray over each book and seek God’s will as they work in partnership with the author to maximise its message. Take a look at our books to see the selection currently on offer.
Focus on Quality and Accessibility
We believe in producing the highest quality books possible for the glory of God. We do not publish books that are unedited or unformatted. Each book goes through a rigorous selection, editing and production process. We use top of the range, UK based print facilities and all available digital distribution methods to give our books maximum exposure. We are also committed to accessibility and every book is made as dyslexic friendly as possible. In partnership with our authors, we are also expanding our audiobook range. Commitment to Transparency
Our aim is for your publishing adventure to be self-sustaining. We seek to honour the Holy Spirit and the author by laying out any upfront costs and trusting God to provide through creative means. We start with dialogue, and continue close communication with the author through the whole process, from submission to marketing a final product. Rather than a business, we see Broad Place Publishing as a life-giving enterprise with a unique partnership model that differentiates us from other Christian Publishers. Find out more.
Broad Place Publishing’s Big News!
Since Broad Place Publishing’s conception, God has laid on our hearts a desire to help authors through the writing and publishing process. Many of these authors are not those who have large platforms or followings (those who may be able to receive traditional publishing contracts) but are first time Christian writers, who have a powerful message but need help learning to communicate that message effectively through the written word. This desire hasn’t always fitted neatly into our publishing model, but nevertheless, we have offered prayer and advice to people at all stages of their writing and publication journey, usually without charge. Over the past year, it has become increasingly clear that the need is bigger than our ability to cater for it 1:1, and we can no longer do this all for free.
However, supporting authors well remains part of our vision for quality books, so we’ve decided we don’t want such mentoring to stay on the sidelines of what we do, but we want it to become a core part of who we are at Broad Place Publishing. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that over the next few months, we will be developing a Christian Author Mentorship Programme; an opportunity for Christian writers to access free and paid quality resources and courses, no matter where they are at on their writing journey. Prayer is at the centre of everything we do in our publishing work, and we want to encourage writers to work with the Holy Spirit in the same way. Although there is a wealth of secular information on writing and publishing, we see a need for a unique programme in the UK that unashamedly puts God and his priorities first.
