All in God’s Time

About All in God’s Time by Shirley-May Hardy

When Shirley-May accepted Jesus as her Saviour in 1956, He began to mould her life in a completely new way. Without good teaching books, and with just one Bible in the family, the Lord spoke simply, and she believed and stepped out for Him. This powerful Christian testimony spans seventy years of faithful obedience, showing how God transforms ordinary lives through extraordinary provision and purpose.

Who is All in God’s Time written for?

This everyday faith testimony is for every age. From fourteen to eighty-four, the Lord has done new things in Shirley’s life at least every ten years – and He’s still doing them. Whether you’re just beginning your faith journey or you’ve walked with God for decades, this multigenerational testimony will speak to your heart and show you that God is never finished with us.

What can you expect from this story?

This isn’t a celebrity testimony. It’s the real-life faith journey of an everyday person who said “yes” to God and watched Him do the impossible. You’ll witness God’s miraculous provision, the establishment of prayer ministries that touched nations worldwide, and the kind of faithful, behind-the-scenes kingdom work that may never make headlines but lasts for eternity. This inspirational Christian memoir will challenge you to trust God’s perfect timing and embrace the calling He’s placed on your life – no matter how impossible it seems.

Here’s what other’s have said about this Testimony story:

  • “Shirley’s relentless energy, industry, faith and understated risk-taking challenge all of us looking to slow down. Read carefully, you might find yourself opening a door to a God who took an ordinary woman from a Lincolnshire farm to Australia’s outback.” — Nick Ashley, Co-founder, Red Rock International Ltd.
  • “Shirley’s life has been full of often delightful but quite ordinary next steps which have led into new adventures with God using her to do, say and pray things way beyond her own experience or expectations.” — Tim Morris, Leader, Horizons France
  • “This book is a masterclass in the power of prayer in everyday life. Shirley demonstrates how God will take a willing life and use it to touch many people through prayer and obedience. God does not call the qualified, He calls and qualifies the willing.” — Jamie and Christine Tonge, Retired Church Leaders

There are so many books out there. Why do I need this one?

We need books of everyday people’s testimony, showing that God understands and cares for us all. These are not easy days, but Jesus never changes. Shirley’s honest, encouraging story demonstrates God’s faithfulness and will help strengthen your faith through her lifetime of obedience.

This Christian testimony book will encourage you to:

  • Trust God’s timing even through seasons of waiting – what He promises, He fulfils, though rarely on our schedule
  • Believe in miraculous provision – when God calls, He provides, often in ways we never expect
  • Embrace prayer as the foundation for lasting kingdom work – nothing of eternal value is built without it

I’d love this, but can I read a sample first?

Excerpt from All in God’s Time © Shirley-May Hardy, 2025

We had gathered for one of our usual weekends of prayer and worship, and we were celebrating all God had done in Cleethorpes as Chris and I had taken out the gospel tracts. Brian and Jamie had joined us, and no one could deny the growing chemistry between Jamie and Chris.

‘Now we have covered Cleethorpes, I expect God will tell us to go to Grimsby.’

‘Or maybe Humberstone or the other smaller towns and villages.’

I found it hard to sit still, as the word God had spoken to me, bubbled up inside. ‘Lincolnshire. We need to cover every house in every village and hamlet in Lincolnshire,’ I blurted out.

The county where I was born stretches from the River Humber in the north to the Wash in the south, covering a huge area. It is the second largest county in England, after North Yorkshire. Lincolnshire is a rural county, whose economy relies heavily on agriculture. There are 12 larger towns and cities, but countless villages and hamlets scattered over the wide area.

‘I know it seems impossible,’ I continued, ‘But if God is speaking to us, He will give us a plan and lead us every step of the way, just as He did when Chris and I covered Cleethorpes.’

I knew that God had broken limitations in my personal life and had brought me out into a wide-open space. I knew there was nothing God couldn’t do. As I spoke, I could see excitement in the eyes of the others in the room.

Although we were aware that Lincolnshire was a huge territory, God made it seem ordinary. There was nothing outside His reach, nothing we couldn’t do, because He was going to do it, and we were going to do it with Him.

The more we prayed, the more we felt this was God’s idea. It also began to slowly emerge that He was asking something else of us. Something that wouldn’t go down well or be understood by those around us.
